Role

As an Approved Subcontractor/Agency Worker, you will provide qualified, licenced and certified expertise to assist in the successful completion of electrical and mechanical installations and assemblies in compliance with current legislations alongside a team of fellow technicians and associated labour resources.

About You

Already an experienced worker, you will demonstrate your capabilities through submission of your technical qualifications and trade licences in addition to a cover letter and CV demonstrating your time working in a similar industrial sector.

Dimensions

  • Various client sites across the UK with occasional Overseas opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, assemble, modify and repair a variety of electrical or mechanical systems and equipment

  • Communicate and adopt safe systems of work (RAMS)

  • Observe the requirements of any Permit to Work issued by site Duty Holders

  • Follow efficient work procedures and techniques

  • Engage in the determination of work rotas and assignment of tasks

  • Assess tasks for completeness and report any issues or variations

  • Complete installation test reports and job documentation

  • Ensure all tools and equipment in use is certified and/or calibrated

  • Maintain positive relationships with client representatives and other third parties

  • Undertake specialist training as required and keep up to date with statutory and legislative requirements

  • Demonstrate and apply the principles of continuous improvement to achieve ‘Best Practice’

Job requirements

You will need

  • Evidence of your right to work in the UK

  • A valid CSCS affiliated Health & Safety card (Mandatory)

  • A comprehensive toolkit for completing electrical/mechanical installations and assemblies

  • Experience of working on own initiative

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • To be a team player and customer focused

Qualifications and Licences

  • ECS Gold Card (Desirable)

  • MEWP safe use training Card, IPAF 3a, 3b or equivalent (Desirable)

  • PASMA Scaffold assembly training Card (Desirable)
